Dialogue Editing

Location audio repair and editing

99% of projects require the backbone of a thorough dialogue edit. Human voice is the foundation of most mixes. Dialogue editing is probably the most time consuming aspect of every project, yet we like to think that it’s also the least noticeable of our efforts. Nobody notices good dialogue editing. Everybody notices bad dialogue editing.

We have the experience and toolset to dive deep into location audio. Your dialogue, interviews and voiceovers will never sounded better.

Final Mix

From TED Talks to TV series to feature film, we scale mixes from Vimeo to a cineplex. And importantly, the mixing process is seamlessly integrated into the full workflow with extensive premixes. This makes the final mix very efficient and leaves almost no room for surprises.

One of our unfair advantages is that we aren’t just audio engineers, but also filmmakers. One is technical, the other involves a holistic understanding of the project. The intersection of these two disciplines is what allows fluid communication between filmmaker and mixer, and makes a great sounding, dynamic films.

Sound Design and Foley

Sound design happens in two parts:
a) having or making the right sounds
b) knowing when and where to use them.

When you’ve been in the business as long as we have, access to sounds is a given. Libraries upon libraries, custom recordings and foley sessions, synthetic sound tools abound. But all of that can only go so-far without knowing how and when to use them.

Cinematic intuition backed by over 2 decades of experience fuels our creative process. Maybe a commercial spot only needs 5 sounds, or a film needs 5,000 sounds. Every moment of every project is considered for it’s sonic potential.

Voiceover and ADR Recording

Accommodating both In-studio and remote recordings, we record voiceover and ADR for film, TV and commercial projects.

Even if we aren’t doing your full post audio, you can schedule one-off sessions for whatever you need.

The facility is super comfortable for your talent and we don’t let the tech get in the way of getting the performance.

Private Screenings

We host private screenings for your film at any stage (whether you are an existing client or not). For example, you might still be editing and want to screen a rough cut feedback screening for your core team. Or you may have already finished the film and want to premiere it for a small group of investors or producers.

In a room likely to be amongst the best cinematic presentations your film will have, you can wow up to 13 people in our Studio A which has full, calibrated surround sound and a 14’ projected screen (and is right next to our stocked kitchen and vintage popcorn machine).
